It is a month since we left Gosport to start our adventures. It just doesn't seem possible that we have got so far in such a short space of time. We have travelled along the South Coast and up the East Coast and are on the Moray Firth heading to Inverness. When we were in Peterhead and rounded Rattray Head, if we had gone East we would have hit Sweden! It just doesn't seem possible.
Anyway we had a delightful walk in some woods at Duff House- a grand classical country house and we found this lovely gravestone for dogs.
We decided to leave delightful Banff and move on all of 3 miles to Whitehills a delightful harbour. The Harbour Master - Bertie was most welcoming taking photos of us as we came in. The wonderful thing about here is the clear, clear water - if you look you can see our keel and rudder.
We decided to have fish and chips from the Rockfish as recommended by the harbour master - they were fantastic! I have just been told that it is the only fish and chip shop in the UK that has its own trawler and catches it own fish!
Two wonderful photos one looking Northwards and the other looking back onto Whitehills - I am not meaning the photos are wonderful but the views are!
More lovely photos! This blog is a super idea, I'm really enjoying it. X X Mum
