It was a very peaceful night last night. We had heard on the radio that there would be lots of shooting stars last night. As we were out in Poole harbour we thought it might be a good place to see them. Alas it was not to be - every time I woke up I looked out into the sky but I was just unlucky and saw no stars. There was another lovely sunset
It was another early start today as we had to leave our anchorage whilst there was enough water. We motored off and came around the other side of Brownsea Island and out into the harbour passing Sandbanks and the lovely houses there. We took the inside route that passes close to the beach and it was so good to see so many dogs on the beach enjoying their morning walk.
There was not a lot of wind. Paul decided that it was about time we got the spinnaker ( a large light sail used in light winds to make the boat go faster) up - first time this trip. It is not one of my favourite sails. It took about 30 minutes to put it up and then Paul complained that the wind had changed direction! It was up for all of about 10 minutes before it came down! and he wonders why I don't like it!
We had to motor and then the wind filled in just as we were coming through Hurst Narrows into the Solent.

We then went into Lymington - one of our favourite places in the Solent. We moored up on the town quay and then a Jazzy walk was in order.
We went along the coast and through the salt marshes to Keyhaven and had a stop and a drink in the Gunn Inn.

Jazz had lots of swims on the way back.
