Day 102

Tuesday 9th August 2016

We had a bit of an uncomfortable night! We were tucked in the harbour and we did have a pontoon that we could moor to. Unfortunately it was a temporary pontoon that they put out for the summer months and was a little wobbly. There was a
swell coming in from the sea and it was noisy and rolly! Needless to say we were up early the next morning!

WE had to "Round Portland Bill" Portland Bill sticks out into the sea. The tides race round the point and you have to get your timings right or you will not be able to get round. We got there at about 9:30am which was just about right and went smoothly round the Bill with the tide carrying us up into Weymouth.

We arrived in Weymouth and tied up on the pontoons by the harbour wall.

We promised Jazz a walk on the beach before we set about our jobs on Altair.

We love Weymouth - such a lovely seaside town. It was so good to see so many families enjoying the beach. I'm not sure if we saw more children or adults partaking in the time old pastime of crabbing!

Weymouth is not Weymouth without the sand sculptures!
