We had a leisurely start to the day and a lovely walk with Jazz exploring the island. We left at about lunchtime, crossed the Firth of Lorn to the Sound of Mull, we had to pass between two lighthouses
We had a good sail up the Sound Of Mull - I must admit that I have never seen so many castles in my life! One every few hundred yards on each shore!
We were heading for Lochaline and had decided to find a quiet anchorage for the night. We looked behind us and saw the cruise ship Disney Magic sailing down the Sound of Mull! Seemed a strange sight such a large ship going through a narrow gap between Mull and the mainland.
We headed for the top of the loch - a delightful spot. We missed timed it and just as Paul was anchoring it started to rain. Not bad considering that this (apart form Wells to Grimsby) was our first rain! It continued to rain for most of the afternoon and at about 5pm cleared up and stopped. Paul said he would blow up the dingy and we would go ashore to take Jazz for a walk. No sooner than we were in the dingy when it started to rain again. We carried on with our walk - talk about a house in the clouds!
The house is Ardtornish House - the spots on the photos - rain!
We then spent a peaceful night at anchor.
