Day 87

Monday 25th July 2016.

Time to move on. Today we would be rounding the Lizard - the most Southerly point of the UK.

We got there just as the tide was turning and as the water is being swept past the point it can get a little choppy. It was a little challenging sailing round the point. I learnt later that we has done it when there was likely to be the most turbulence – westerly wind and the tide going from east to west! – trust us!

We arrive din the Helford river later that afternoon. We anchored in Polwiggen Bay near Trebah gardens. We went ashore and explored the gardens – how wonderful they were. They had this wonderful valley of hygrandgers that were in full bloom –pink, purple blue and white – spectacular.

Then back to the boat for tea and a quiet night at anchor.
