We were going to spend a day here in Milford Haven but were told that the wind was due to increase on Wednesday so move on again and another early start!
This was a boat going to Ireland and it was the moon in the sky!
We were headed for Padstow in Cornwall some 70+ miles across the Bristol Channel - a long sail!
We set off the in the company of Starquest who we had met in Peel and are based at Portsmouth! We had a good sail, favourable winds and a fast speed being maintained. This lasted for a number of hours then the wind died and we had to motor. It did reappear but - would you believe on the nose!
We had dolphins! They joined us on a number of occasions
It was a long day but we were pleased to get into Padstow. We moored inside the harbour and against the wall. Padstow has such a wonderful atmosphere - visitors sitting on benches around the harbour - just delightful.
